The homes in the 29403 area code known as “outside the crosstown” are usually cheaper on the peninsula and this area of downtown Charleston starts above Calhoun St north to Mt Pleasant St. These neighborhoods known as boroughs are Wagener Terrace, Ansonborough, Westside, Wraggborough, Radcliffborough, and Hampton Park Terrace. The homes outside of the crosstown which is really just understood to mean the side of town on the right side of hwy 17 the bisects the city.
