There are quite a few gated developments in and around the Charleston SC area. Charleston SC is a pretty safe place to live by most standards, but if living in a community that is gated most of those developments will be in Mt Pleasant where there are a few country club subdivisions. Others to look at are North Charleston’s Coosaw Creek, Country Club Charleston, Kiawah Island (luxury golf and beach resort), Wild Dunes (luxury beach resort), Grimball Gates, Briar’s Creek, Kiawah River Estates, Seabrook Island, Dunes West, Bulls Bay, Marsh Harbor Toler’s Cove, Mariner’s Cay on Folly Beach, Raven’s Run, Beresford Hall, and Stono Ferry. Just to name a few.
